Central Surgery Patient Participation Group

A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients, carers and GP practice staff who meet to discuss practice issues and patient experience to improve the service.

The role of the PPG is:

  • To give patients and practice staff the opportunity to meet and discuss topics of mutual interest.
  • To provide a means for patients to become more involved and make suggestions about the healthcare services they receive.
  • To explore issues from patient complaints and patient surveys, contribute to actions plans and help monitor improvements.
  • To support health awareness and patient education.

Our Patient Group at Central Surgery has been running for over 10 years and we are now looking to recruit some new members, particularly younger members who are currently under represented.

If you are interested then please email us at [email protected] or drop a sealed note into the surgery addressed to the Chair of the Patient Group giving your contact details.

We aim to acknowledge your request within a few days.

Please note that the PPG cannot become involved in matters of a specifically medical or clinical nature.
